Hi. I'm kinda new to rock crawling so I have a question or two or three.

1. How much weight in oz. do people add to the front tires for slow-speed crawling?

2. Which type of weight is best? BBs? Strip weights like they sell at Tower?

3. How does one use BBs? Are you supposed to use them with or without foam? Star cut?..or what?

Thanks guys!!!

Edit: Axial AX-10 is what I have if that matters.

How much weight is personal preference. I see guys run around 6 oz in each front wheel on average.

Brass BBs aren't used that much anymore. Airsoft BBs are still used regularly as far as I can tell. On my scaler, I run no foams with the tires filled as much as I can with Airsoft BBs. That results in around 6 oz per tire and the thing climbs like a goat. I run stick-on weight on my comp crawler. 6oz in each front and about 3oz in each rear.

Experimentation is the only way to find an ideal setup that works for you.
