A friend crashed this one during it's maiden flight a year ago. He got it in the air and made the mistake of glancing at his radio to trim and the plane went inverted. It all happened so fast and he pulled when he should have pushed. This guy is a 30 year flyer and extremely good. It can and will happen to most of us.

On a good note for me, he passed the remains on to me a few weeks ago. I am making an attempt to rebuild without any plans. I do have the overall length of the plane and the size of the engine mount backplate so away I went. Now if I can just find the right covering to match. I have a new spinner and canopy ordered fron Juno Rc.

This should be pretty quick with my OS 50 SX.

Strickly my own opinion here...
If I were going thru as much effort as you are to rebuild the model, I would move the firewall back at least and inch to help the nose heavy tendancy.

I wish I had this information last week. The thing that has been bugging me is that the nose looks a little long which is in line with what you are saying. I have only seen pictures of this model so all of my work has been from that. Jez, I hate to cut the front off and start over.

Flyboy,
Nice work. Who is the manufacturer of yours. I need to know what covering is on it and which red. Any idea?

....yes, it is Mono-cote "missle red".

Mine is a Cermark. You will probably have to mount the battery in the
rear of the plane to get a decent balance....they are nose heavy, as Vic
pointed out....no big deal though. My best guess would would be about
one and 1/2 inches shorter, but not to worry.

FBD.

Sorry I was a week late. Your work looks great tho.
As Dave said, don't sweat it at this poing just get a 2500mah battery and put it in the tail.
If I get a chance I will try to scan the manual for you.

Vicman,

Thanks for the offer but I found a manual for it. I'll work on and see how it turns out. I may take the 4" side grinder and do some more shaping. That'll fix it.

More progress. I am now waiting on Tower to deliver the servos and I will get it in the air.
