Status: offline 		Hey guys! I'm looking for advice on realistic looking panel lins on my Ryan Sta build. It has a metal skin on the fuse only. Any suggestions would be graetly appreciated.

Status: offline 		I built up spot putty against electrical tape to form the overlapped panel lines on my Texan.

From the pics that I have of the Ryan it looks like the aluminum panles on the Ryan are butt joints and do not overlap. To simulate this I put down 1/32" or 1/16" chart/drafting tape. Once you have the tape in place where you want the panel lines spray a couple heay coats of high fill primer such as Dupli-Color high fill primer then sand the primer down to the top of the tape and remove the tape. This will leave you a very nice panel line, add rivet details and paint.
I have done this on several planes with great results.

Do you have any pics of your Ryan? What size is it? I have the 1/4 scale plans supposed to be on the way from MAN but have not received them yet. Ordered almost a month ago.

Status: offline 		Hey Jim, Let me know how the plans are. I want to order the 1/3 scale. I have no pictures yet, I'm building the Ryan Sta Special from the now discontinued Sig kit. But I want a bigger one. Where are you going to get the Pants and cowl from?

Status: offline 		The one Chad showed on his T6 will work good, you can also use high fill primer instead.
