I Have an HPI Sprint 2 Drift Sport that is totally stock...what should i upgrade?

I like to drift but sometimes neighbors come by and they like to see speed rather than style...

I was thinking about brushless motors....but i'm unsure of which one to get...

I'm between a Backyard Basher and Neighborhood Racer...

Since it's belt drive...should i upgrade the belt? I mean, What difference does it make...and is it that significant?

I mostly drive during the day....but i don't see the problem with neon...i have the 350Z(Z33)....

An unrelated question, at what speed(mph) does the body design(aerodynamics) affect the top speed?

Best upgrades for more speed are either new ESC and motor or brushless combo.
aero wont come into play until your hitting at least 50mph +
so you can either get a BL setup and good battery or lipo
Or grab a no limit esc and low turn motor like a 8turn
thats should give you good speed.

Thanks...
about the brushless...i saw that you needed to program it.
Is it lot of programing or what?

What exactly are you programing it for also?

I would go with a Lipo, brushless combo.

Novak motors and ESC are good I hear. I personally have a Mamba Max 6900 that I liked until the front bearing went south. The ESC is great, and is very versatile.

But my money's with the Novak

I'd go for either the mamba max ESC with a 5700 or a 6900 kv motor. The latter is faster, but it may be too fast for your purposes. I think for drifting the 5700 is better since it's more controllable and drifting is a precision skill. As for batteries, check out maxamps for a good 2s pack. I'd go for between 4000-5000mah for good runtimes. Here is a nice battery that is a little better quality and performance than the maxamps packs: http://www.neumotors.com/20061222/Car_batteries_.html

I think if you get the MM5700 combo and the 2s pack above you should be ripping around pretty fast! You could also choose to just go for the MM5700 combo w/o the lipo, but you still need to make sure you have some good quality nimh packs. The lipo is nice since the runtimes are longer, the voltage doesn't drop off as fast, the lifetime is longer, and the weight is a lot less. That last bit about the weight could also improve the drifting capabilities of the sprint. PM me if you have any questions. Good luck!
