I have the Belt CP.
It wants to fly straight back no matter what I do. Even with full trim forward it really wants to fly backwards.
The swash plate is nice and level, flybar paddles are level, CG is great, blades are tracking well, blades are balanced. Two of use checked all these.
Any ideas what the problem may be?

Tom

if it flies backwards with a level swash then it's usually a cg issue.

How did you check that the swash was level and how did you check the cg?

The swashplate looks level by eye to both of us. Do I need a swashplate level tool? Maybe it's off a half a turn and you can't see this by eye.
The CG is off with the battery fully inserted into the battery holder.
So we moved the battery forward and got the skids nice and level. Lift the heli by the flybar method
as described in the manual.

when you check the swashplate make sure that you're comparing it to the main shaft, not the body or anything else. the swash should be 90 deg to the main shaft.

A word of advice. The stock servos will never EVER give you a perfect perpendicular angle from swash to your main shaft. I spend hours doing it and just won't happen. It's cause of # of teeth I guess.
The closest you can get is taking advantage of it.
Belt-CP is tail heavy without thick 12cm long 2400mah 20c batteries
You may want ithe swash to be tilted one tooth forward because the Heli is made tail heavy.
That's how I set it up and the heli can fly itself momentarily while I rub my eyes.

The quick message is always cutting off my bottom....
THe bottom was
"Nothing against you Tom, it's just my Belt-CP that does it no matter how long I spend and what I spend on it"

No problem.
Planning on replacing the servos with better ones when I can and the ESC also.

My belt cp is tail heavy also. Have to slide the battery far then I get perfect CG.
A heavier battery would help for sure.

my money was well spent on a cf boom to level it out. especially when you go and put a heavier t-rex , copter-x, clone tail on it.

had the same problem, turned out to be the elevator servo. worked fine with out the motor turning, but when the motor was turning it would lock up and glitch. replaced and all is well- for now.

That's a good find. Will take a look at mine and see what it does.

Possibly the elevator servo needs to be reversed?
