I got the same deal- 2 2200 lipos and the charger. Charger works great, you can charge several kinds of batteries with various connectors, and if you buy the battery bridge, you can charge 2 3s lipos at the same time. You have to make up a seperate harness that connects the discharge plugs(I use the Deans Ultra plugs) to the charger to charge 2 batts at once but it's not hard. As for the batteries, I've got about 20 flights on each and I haven't had any problems. I don't do 3d yet, just hovering, figure 8s. I've got the 450SA with stock motor and CC 35amp esc. With the 13 tooth pinion I get a little over 3000 rpm at 100% throttle but I fly at 85% and that gives me around 2800 rpm. I set my timer for 7 1/2 minutes and put back between 1550 and 1600 mah. I've got 2 TP 2070 extremes with about 80 cycles each and the Kongs give me about 200 rpm more at a given throttle setting. Don't know if the TPs had more power when they were new, but I have to say the Kongs are more powerfull now.

My Kong powers get a kind of warm, but not bad. These packs are a good deal for the money but they are a bit on the heavy side.

They don't get as warm as stock with the 25c rating; but how warm the battery gets depends on what motor, pinion, etc. You are running. Also, too much pitch for a throttle setting.

All My batts got pretty warm with the ALIGN XL motor, but I'm running a NEU 2yh on the JAZZ ESC. and they are near ambient air temperature now after a run. The NEU motor is one of the most efficient motors out there; have a minute longer flight times.

Heat robs You of flight time; heat is evidence of inefficiency of a motor, etc.

i beat on my kongs, 100+ flights and some times i run em down till the esc kisks into save the lipo mode lol and there still rock solid performers.

i run a -8 13t with the align 35x and the kong and i fly hard collective at 100 flat and it just gets a little warm. on a 100 degree day it gets a hair toasty as expected but in the winter just barley warm

You may also want to look at the Lightning Power batteries. I fly only Lightning Power batteries now they are the same as Kong with the 2.5v minimum discharge rating and the anti-puff technology.

I even had the 2 x 3s in my 500 and forgot to charge one draining it to 8.7v and it still runs fine!

My Kongs run noticeably cooler than my TP 2070s with the same throttle and pitch curves. And yes, they are heavier. They outweigh my TPs by 37 grams or almost 1 1/2 ounces. But with the type of flying I'm doing it's not a problem.

I usually set my timer for 6 min for my kongs and it usually takes them down about 1600 to 1800 mah.
