Okay, here is the situation, I live in Denver, and my airfield is about 6000' MSL, (Mean Sea Level). I am looking to get the DP Ultimate but I am not sure if the 1.35 Moki is enough at my altitude. I have also had no experience with the Moki line of engines. I am looking for an engine that will have enough power to 3d this Ultimate. I know YS are the best, and I have read a lot of threads about them in the ultimate, but I don't have that kind of money. I am looking to spend under 300 dollars US. I am also wondering if mini servos are required for the ailerons. In other words, servo advice would really be appreciated. I am looking into Hitec right now. Thanks.

Hi,
If you want to use a 2 stroke go with an OS 160. Do not use mini's on the ailerons... the gear train will not withstand the shock. The DP Ulty is one of the very best flying planes available.... take your time and set it up right and light... you will be glad you did. Hope this helps... your going to LOVE your Ulty!

So you think the 1.60 has enough power up here in denver? Thats good to hear, I was strongly considering that engine. What kind of servos should I use for the ailerons then? Standard 40 oz in?

I think the 160 would work fine. Take a look at your manual for torque specs... I think it says 55 to 60 oz/in on the ailerons. I used Hitec 5925 digitals on my ailerons... 5925 on elevator.... 5945 rudder.... I have a YS 140 DZ for power. But I only have 2 planes. I put the best of the best in my Ulty because it is my pick of the aerobats. I have it set up well and also have a back up air frame. To me it is the best flying plane I have ever flown, I have been flying 20 years.

Yes.... I just talked to them last week. They have the new pearl blue ones, a few white ones, and a few ARC's... no red ones.

well i just going put my 2 cent's out there
if you go with the os 160 just be careful
mine with the os 160 got pretty hot had to dremel
the cawl intake and exit hole pretty big!!! also unless u wanna reconstruct a lil bit of the fuse the stock pipe isnt going to work unless u take the spacer out of the pipe
and be carefull the ulty is going a lot faster then it seems to be
so remember there is a stick on the left side
i love mine with the 160 i have a 18x6 wich is nice but also try th e18x5
