Status: offline 		thinking of buying a stampede vxl chassis,but the seller is only selling the chassis and gearbox, no electronics,how to tell the chassis is really a vxl ,any special marking or serial number.this serial number is A1029736.any help thanks

you sure it's just a chassis and trans.... there's probably more parts than that right?

Status: offline 		look for hex hardware. the vxl uses it, the older models use standard philips head screws.
the vxl's also have larger ball bearings than the older models.
also, look at the output yoke(the part of the driveshaft closest to the tranny) if its white plastic, its likely a older model. the vxl's output yokes are black. this is of course assuming those parts are still stock on the chassis you are looking at.
you said it has no electronics, well if it has the servo it should say 2070 on it. the vxl's have a stronger quicker servo than older ones. hope this helps.
