Hah! Vicman, I laugh at your lekky racer challenge. You thought that I didn't have such a model and that you would be safe from all-but-certain humiliation.

Hah hah. I laugh at you twice for I do have such a model and it does fly rapidly (durn near faster than I can keep up with in fact).

Hah hah hah. Three times in your face for it is made of FFF - thereby rendering it impervious to bad launches, midairs, and Rog's hot dogs.

Hah hah hah hah (oh, my sides are hurting).

Question for Rog; my liddle lekky is the same dimensions as my Sheetface and I judge its speed to be about the same - on a good NV setting. Once its in the air with Real Reedie Racers you wouldn't be able to tell it from the rest of the pack (except that its that disgusting blue color). Would you let me fly with the rest of the guys - not compete with them - just fly around the pylons for a heat or two? Can I huh?

Bill,

I thought about electrifying the Blink when Patrick gave me the kit. Every time I looked at it I felt that maybe I was being unfaithful to the spirit of the Crew by having those "impure" lekky thoughts - but mainly I wondered if the weight of a three-cell li-po pack would make for a pretty high wing loading. I think you just answered that question.

On the other hand, you shouldn't ever have to glide it unless you run the battery down too far. So big deal, you have to get used to landing it "hot". No problem since there isn't any tail section sticking out to get snagged on the grass. But maybe a "more than 1/2A" skid on the bottom might be in order.

By George I feel inspiration tugging me toward the workbench.

FWIW one thing I have discovered about outrunners; they love some props and hate others. It depends on this, that, and the other thing and its all a black art to me. So my solution was to stock up on a bunch of props specified by the motor documentation and try 'em. Then its a matter of the "ouch test". After a short flight if your finger comes back burnt after touching the motor, ESC, or battery (drum roll please) . . . switch props. I just love it when I get to talk technical.

What just a cotton pickin' minute, RD. You can't just show us a teaser shot of a piped Picco .21 that you have.....then in the very next post show us a Wonder outfitted with a LA .25!!
I almost threw up some very expensive beer.
Needless to say, you now have a moral obligation to hook that plane up to the Picco, then repent.

ERR umm how was that cheap beer on the 2nd time around?

I do like the LA motors but why not use the pipe?

Yes dear, I did glue my hand to the airplane to keep from dropping it.
