HI Guys, Mr. Matt,

I just installed my Titan SE which was sent in for upgrade to 6.0 J. one detail, I took out the front board with the starter case and assembly (the whole thing). and sent it in for upgrade. the upgrade invoice said to redo temp probe calibration and rc check. Today is quite hot app. 95 deg f around here. So I got some ice and IR thermometer to lower the probe temp down. I dont think IR thermometer is giving me accureate measurements, however I cooled the thermocouple and redid the calibration and rc check.

THE PROBLEM. LOW RPM Start shut down. I do have ignition and then immediate shutdown.

I have noticed one issue. I checked against my P70 kero start which runs perfectly. In the idle state, when I press Ignition/Starter to turn the turbine manually, the rpm indicator start displaying the rpm once it picks up a bit of speed. however, in the titan, it shows zero, even if i hold it for 3 full seconds.

Is it the optical sensor or the board?? are there any settings that effect the RPM readout or cause LOW RPM Fault condition?
thanks
jason

HI Jason,

I am looking into it for you. Have you tried a different black data cable? They are all the same so you can try another one. The RPM should read out when manually spinning the turbine so try to rule out a bad cable or cable connector first.

Regards,
