The AMA Scale Nationals are only a few weeks away. The event will be held on August 8-10 and as usual at the AMA site in Muncie, Indiana. This is always a fun event. This year there will be a 4 man live jazz band during the dinner hours at the cook out. The cook out is held at the site directly after the second round of flying on Saturday evening. The cost is a mere $10 (bring your own drinks) for all you can eat and you will get to enjoy live music at the same time. The cook out is also open to any one who would like to attend, you do not have to be a competitor. There will door prizes and auction items available to all that attend. All of the funds will go to NASA. NASA is the sponsoring SIG (Special Interest Group) that funds the Scale Nationals.

I'm looking forward to it! It is a lot of fun! May be we could come up with a way to identify ourselves as RCU people. It would be great to meet in person.

Sure would. My wife will be bringing name tags and when you buy your banquet ticket we can put our RCU name on them too. Let's start a trend.....

Hi Steve,

At our last scale meeting in Holland we had the same idea. We worked it out and I have make badge's for everyone. The only thing you have to know is who are comming so you can make the badge's in advance. it was a great succes to see the faces behind the forum names.

Cheers, Teus

Is the cook out pay at the door or is that what the banquet fee is for on the AMA entry form? I am going to go ahead and register as a motivation for finishing my airplane in time. If I dont finish I will be out the fees and you know how modelers hate to waste money . I am going regardless and will be serving as cocobear's pit slave... er assistant. It should be a blast. Cant wait.

The cook out is pay at the door. I am not sure what the banquet is mentioned on the registration form.

Well Steve we plan to test fly the Tu-95 Bear on July 19 at a local airport in Michigan. Hopefully things will go well to fly Teamscale at the NATS.
Teamscale, Expert Sport Scale, Fun scale, and Delta Darts. That should keep me busy!!!

Well good. I am glad and sad at the same time. We were hoping the maiden would be here in Seymour, but we understand that traveling today is not as easy at it used to be. Please take some pictures to put on here during your test flight(s).

You will find me in the static and flight judges chair along with my good buddy Jim Martin, come Friday through Sunday for RC scale. Look forward to seeing all the beautiful scale models. You can start sending in your bribes now......LOL just kidding, and good luck to all. Practice, practice, practice. Remember scale realism is 10 ponts and is judged from start to finish.
See you all there

Gary see you at the NATS we have a JAZZ BAND coming for the cookout on Saturday night. All are welcome to come to fly or just watch and stay for the cookout. Just $10.00 all you can eat bring your drink. Hi-test or not. We will have a few auction items as the band takes a break all money goes to NASA. I will see you and as always bring your Judges snack bag for both days.

See you Aug 9-10,
Best Regards,
