I got this idea 2 nights ago of how to keep something moving without requiring any external energy and began setting up a prototype.

My idea: Take a 2 stroke engine's spark and use it to power a motor that keeps the spark going. There are three factors(combined) that led me to believe it could very possibly work- The flywheel has very little resistance when spun so a motor has very little work to do(piston pulled out so no compression slowing it down), even a single spark will give the motor a quick burst of power that would be plenty to get it to the next spark(or so I think), and since the sparks are so powerful.

My test motor is an old hobby plane starting motor. I hooked it up to my 12V power supply and it still works fine.

To get a spark, I can easily spin the flywheel by hand and it will spark 3 or 4 times, but I figured keep it simple for some tests and just let a drill do the work.

Problem: Getting the spark to move a motor even a little. I believe that if I can get the motor to move even a little than it will work. Rite now, when everything is hooked up and running, I touch the motor and I get shocked. The spark on these engines only lasts a millisecond, and at 20,000V with low amps. My friend said the reason is it's skipping the brushes because it's just too much power. Got any ideas to make the spark make a motor spin?

Also feel free to comment or ask questions. Just please, don't make this thread about physics laws. Help me make the motor spin instead. I'm determined.

Are you trying to find perpetual energy or something? If so, you still would need external energy because that gas engine needs fuel...

The motor doesnt move because you are feeding it 20 000 volts and basically no amps. To fix this you would have to build a different kind of magneto, one that produces around 12 volts. At that point we are talking about a motor powering a generator powering the motor.........perpetual motion. Impossible.

Unfortunately the reason this isn't going to work is ALL about physics. And since you are not interested in hearing the physics and why this won't work there basically isn't any reason to leave this thread open. If you want to present an idea to this group and ask for help you need to be open to ALL input, both negative and positive. You only want to hear one answer and that's one you're not going to get. Therefore I see no reason to leave this thread open. I'm locking this thread.
