I would go with the SPE, It has a good track record, I ordered a CRRP for a sample motor and it came with a bent prop hub out of the box, Now that was about 6 months ago and things might have changed sense then.

Here is a SPE for about $250.00, Don't know the shipping cost, Unload the one coming and get a new one, I know money is hard right now but you will be happier in the long run

Not bad. @279.00 new at Tower. Just not the right engine for your application. Cubs are nice.......perhaps a clipped wing.

No the price is not bad if there is nothing wrong with it., Just not the motor for you if I understand what you want it to do.

For comparison: I had a modified Zenoah G26, lightened and running EI, on a Funtana X100. Engine with muffler, ignition, switch and battery, 46oz. Spun the Xoar, and Mezjlik 18x6 props at approx 9000rpm, and AUW of the plane, dry, was 10lbs even. It was just enough for 3D and really good Imac flying. Any little bit less power, or more weight would have put the end to good 3D performance. At 11-12 lbs you could add a macs pipe to this setup, and spin the same props at around 10,000rpm, and this would make up for the weight.

Now, I am not cutting down the engine you have coming, They are just a little heavy for aerobatics
