staring to get all the bits together for my showtime 90, i was planning on using a spare Spektrum AR6200 receiver i have, but not too sure i will be able to as i need both duel ailerons and elevators.

i know the aileron and aux1 channels can be used for the duel ailerons
can the gear channel be used for the second channel on the elevators ?

i'm sure this is not possible and i'm gonna have to swap my spare AR6200 with the AR7000 i have in my pulseXT.

can anyone suggest how the AR6200 could be used, and not with Y leads

If the receiver has an Aux 2 port, use that for the second elevator. If not, buy a JR Matchbox and plug both elevator servos in to it (set your null and end points using the Matchbox) then plug the single output lead into your elevator channel and you are set.

Happy Trails,

the AR6200 doesn't have an aux2, but does have the gear channel, was hoping someone might know if this could be used.

as i said before, i think it will be easier to just swap out the AR7000 i have in another model

If you are using a DX7 try this:Go to page 74 and IHN the Gear Switch. Then use MIX6 Elev to Gear (-100%100%) this will allow the Elevators to work together...my need a little sub trim to match both sides. (Note: Right Elevator to ELEV, Left Elevator to Gear)
On the Ailerons: Go to page 39 and activate the FlaperonsON (Right Aileron to Aile, Left Aileron to AUX1)..set Travel adjustment for Aileron & Aux 1.
Hope this helps..

yes i'm using a DX7, i will try that later, but it looks like the gear inhibit (as on page 74) is for heli setup only. i'm sure i couldnt see it in the aero set up

If you are using a DX7 TX, yes you can use the gear channel as is explained above. Also , use mix 5 or 6 and the elevator trim can be truened on so that it willl work both elevator servos.

I would use the 7000 with the datport/datalog option so that I can see what is going on with my configuration after a flight. Several times I have repositioned the remote RX-antenna and have seen good results.

Happy binding,

Eric.

really cant see how it can work.

you can't inhibit the gear switch in aero mode, can only be done in heli. and you also only get mixes 1-3

also if in heli mode the aux 1 becomes the pitch linked to the throttle, so if mixed with aileron channel will also get extra movement with throttle. suppose you could zero off the pitch curve, but its getting too messy.

it will have to be a new AR7000 or swap the AR6200 with what i've got in my Pulse

To disable the gear switch..go to Mix#1

gear to gear
-100%
-100%
Let it on.

It disabled the gear switch and it drives the servo channel to neutral.

Then use Mix#6 elev to gear, and ended with a little help of subtrims.

My I suggest that you go to page 57...and you will see that there are Mix 1-6 ...use 5 or 6...the trims are coupled.
You may use mix is on all the time or even use the gear switch to activate the mix...just try it.....

thanks, i will try again tonight.

i know there are 6 mixes in areo mode, but in heli mode where it gives the option to inhibit the gear switch there is only 3.
