I'll try to guide you step by step on how to install the CV-RX in your Firestorm.

First you need to purchase these things: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGGP7&P=M http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX2926 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVC43 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXBMF0 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXM720

1.Remove the standard CV-RX crankshaft nut and drive hub
2.Cut about 1/4 inch off the crankshaft
3.Install G3.0 collet and flywheel, then install the pilot shaft adapter
4Install the ascociated engine mounts and locktite the screws
5.Remove the gearbox brace and leave it off or file it down to fit around the clutch bell
6.Drill holes or slots on the chassis to mount the engine.Make sure the engine is on straight and insure proper mesh
7.Install the engine, air filter, and exhaust header and pipe.(I highly reccomend to use zip-ties around the air filter instead of the o-rings that come with the CV-RX)I also had to use washers on the engine mounting screws because of the groove in the chassis.

8.Break it in!

Hopefully, this will help everyone out.Especially tvcracing, good luck bud.

pretty sure HPI Have released an engine mount which is a direct bolt in which dosnt require the butchering of the chassis.

It should be the same as the nitro star and theirs no need for a 2 speed I wanted one back in the day but after upping the gearing to what i remember a 20 tooth clutch bell it had great pick up does wheelies all day long and great top end. I have the .18 crx motor
try going to the official firestorm forum.  btw ive clocked mine at 62
