I've ending the break-in of my TM928 today, but when i wide open trottle sometime the engine died. It seam to be well tune, the temperature is in the 240-260 range (lower thatn that and the fuel spiting by the tune pipe and he run like a four stroke).
And sometime, it make a big backfire. I've shim it with an aditional head shim like they said in the manual to run 30% nitro, but not seam to solve probleme, so i've remove the shim.

This engine arrive with an rb #7 glow plug (cold one) but i've remove it and change it for a #6 (medium) (right before to start the break-in.)
I've try the stock #7.

Did you think that this could be my problem?

Thank you

lol, this is why I gave up nitro. This exact problem with this exact engine, after 20 years, was the end for me. After so many engine break ins and so many tuning sessions, I reached the end of my tether with nitro and went to gas.

Basically, this is normal behaviour for this engine. It takes about 4 liters before it's fully broken in and runs reliably. When it does though, it's a total monster. Just be patient. By the way, to the OP, put the shim back in, it is necessary if you are running 30%. Consider using 20% though for break in (and leaving the shim out) as it will be easier to tune.
