Q40 from that aircraft is the most used? or that is their preference?  I want to buy one Q40 and get the highest performance.

Thanks!

Alot of user preference there, all have there own good and not so good traits.

The Larson Proud Bird II and Sweet Vee seem to be popular right now.

Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder.

Not sure I would agree with you on the Sweet Vee, but I do like pushing them, and they do fly nice.

I'd think that the majority of the listed models would fly with your engine.

You might stick with a model without a cowl and room for a rear exhaust stack.

I'm pretty new to rc planes, and I know I am no where near ready to try these things, but they are super cool. I LIke the price tag on the AJ/2, but i was wondering how do you build a pylon racer.  It seems like it's way different from any plane I have built thus far.  Also everyone flying these uses engines i have never heard of.  Can anyone clear up the mud?

Thanks

Danny

Below is a link to my construction thread on a Proud Bird Q40 Racer.

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8385036/tm.htm

The AJ-2 builds similarly.

Here's a link to a video that shows how fast this type of airplane flies:

Danny: Since you live in Ardmore, why not join us here in North Texas for our Q-25 series next year. Some of us are moving into 424 and 426 and hopefully Q-40 some day. Send me a pm if you want more info.
