Status: offline 		Hey huys i just got a O.S. 21 RG(P) from a friends dad it is new never ran enngine i am gone to put it in my Hyper 7 is this engine any good i think it is an older O.S. i can not find it on any web sights sould i run it are sale it and get a newer one i have a MAC* 28 in my buggy now how is this engines power to my MAC* is it stronger on the top end would it run with my MAC* are not.

Status: offline 		Thats a VZ not a RG, RG's need a bolt on exhaust adaptor, as well as the rg does not have a equi tap under the carb like the VG has, Its a strong motor, and if you break it in correctly, you will be happy with its power. not a screamer but deff worth holding on to.

Status: offline 		That's actually not a RG(P) at all. P stands for pull start and this is obviously not. Then.... the RG didn't come with a boost bottle and it also had a smaller head.
It looks more like a RZ or even the model after. In any case it's a good engine. I would ditch the boost bottle and plug the hole.

Status: offline 		Hey SManMTB how come you said you would ditch the boost bottel will it help my power are hurt it.And witch engine would you run this engine are my MAC* 28 that came on my buggy my MAC* has about 2 gals on it it run great witch would you run .

Status: offline 		The blue head, crankcase texture, intake chamber and Pilot (P) shaft say it's an OS .21 RZ-B (P)

I had one and it was a very good engine, strong, runs cool, easy to tune.

Status: offline 		I never tried a boost bottle myself but I'd be worried about the air line. If it falls off the engine will go way lean and overheat.
Now..... it might be that's not an issue.

Status: offline 		So witch one would you guys run the O.S. 21 are the MAC*28 in a hyper 7 this is just for club racing so there is no rule on engine size.

Status: offline 		The RZ takes standard SHORT plugs. When I ran OS I used OS A5 or #8.

Status: offline 		That is a RZ-B and is a very good motor. I have a RZR which is similar in my Proceed and I like it a lot. It was a pain to start initially and break in, hopefully you'll be using a powerful starter box and not a handheld starter. I never cursed a motor so much, the pinch was so tight I had to loosen the plug to get it to start. Once broken in the Proceed is a rocket, that motor should make the Mugen go pretty good.
