hpi savage x 4.6 rtr. steering stopped working whilst out today. i thout batteries had died but when i put new ones in. still no joy. pulling trigger for the throttle it works but turning does not. when turning the remote then forcing the wheel i can get it to turn off the remote a bit then it stops. as if the batteries are dead. is it possible for the batteries to have enough power to move the throttle and not the steering?

You're steering servo is locked up. I have the same problem currently. Haven't ran out and got a new servo yet, though. Might as well upgrade.

check the spline also ...it will affect the steering also if the spline is messed up..unscrew the servo saver then try to steer see if the servo moves..if it moves its the spline or something is binding..if it didnt move then the servo have the problem..

I also have a steering related issue. I have an SS. Steering has always been fine but I just installed the Integy Type II steering block with built it servo saver. Geometry looks the same but without the shocks on I've noticed fully exstended and fully compressed binds up a little on the ball joints. Joints and buckles are all the same. Any Idea????

I just consulted my manual as I did before installing the set-up. It's right. Played with it a little a noticed the suspension throw exseeds the ball joints capability by a degree or so. The screw head hits the joint just slightly. I never noticed if thats how its always been or not. I guess the only way to really tell is to throw the stock back on. Anyway I'll probably just take a file to the screw.

thanx

if you can back off your dual rate just a tad and you'll be golden
