They are about two seperate subjects. One was about a cover photo, the other is about the next issue.

I understand what you are saying about our having diverse interests. Just because I am not interested in rotary wing aircraft, it does not necessarialy follow that I am narrow minded. Let's just say that there is little to interest me in MA, on a routine basis.

I like construction and how to information, as well as accounts of events. I realize that I am out of step with the bulk of AMA membership, and the content of MA reflects the interests of that bulk, and therefore my interests are less well represented. I think I was treated better than I should have been by MA, say in the 80"s, so I was somewhat spoiled. I like Flying Models better than MA, because it has proportionatly more of interest to me, while still covering the waterfront, and I suppose it makes money while doing so.

I wonder if you could request Muncie not send you MA, (not for a price reduction), or have you already tried that?

Try again. Mine was an honest suggestion than might fly, yours won't, and you know it.

Stick,
While that may be a good idea,
we need to first define what it is that those members want.

Maybe we need to split the magazine
members get to pick from the ElectricPlaner's, PlaneBuilder's, or PlaneBuyer's magazines,
or HeliPaloosa for those so inclined.

I find it difficult to believe that there is any magazine out there that you enjoy. I love WW1 Fokker aircraft. I do not expect everyone to be subjected to that every month!
I am sorry but this thread has actually gone on too long and it is just really pathetic at this point. I doubt seriously you would be satisfied regaurdless of what the content was so you may as well toss it in the trash. Then at least your wife will not have to endure you complaining about it!

If you feel that way, this discussion is easy to avoid.

Why not check out R/C Reports? Although as of late it has a bunch of ARF reviews but they cover most subjects in depth and are straight forward as far as reviews. They also offer all the kit reviews they have done over the years for purchase. Mike

Finally got my July issue. Looks like the usual mix of construction, Arf, how-to, scale, electric, aerobatic, heli's, etc., that is necessary to appeal to the broad interests of the AMA membership.

Of course, some here will always think their interests are under represented, and more important than others, so will never be satisfied with the current direction of MA, or AMA for than matter. Too bad; all they are left with is to complain.

So it was a bunch of complainers that got the seperate PPP magazine to become reality?
Just who is the THEY that you are calling complainers in that case?

They were the squeeky wheel that got their own PPP magazine to be printed,
and who where they?
And how did you vote on the matter of starting up a specific interest magazine in addition to putting out MA... a seperate magazine for the PPP that they get to choose in lieu of MA or get MA (additional cost like a FamilyMember)

Is it possible, and is AMA willing to do it?
Well, they already did for one particular area of aeromodeling (parkflying).... so I guess YES on both counts.
