you dont have to have diffs but they are a very good idea. take a look at this if you where going to have 2 motors. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGHK3&P=7

just an update. my monster truck turned into a 6 wheeled 4wd and then failed. then i tried to convert toy rc's to hobby grade's but that failed. but not everything i've done resently failed, i sucsessfully built a sume what working onroad and a conversion that turned my vintage rc10 into an onroad. my custom build needs work and the body doesnt stay on in the back of the buggy. does anyone have any ideas to hold the body on without mutilating it or the chassis?

I got a cheap RC boat that I plan to modify. Currently the steering is done by lowering the power to one of the motors, but I plan to replace the radio gear and everything and hopefully run a couple of brushless motors and have a working rudder for the steering.

You can probably go with a stampede/rustler chassis and turn it sideways. Also for everyone else I added a wing to the rustler I have seen this a couple times now and wanted to share some pics. I used the hellfire mounting bracket and cut off the bottoms to clear the transmission. I added a revo wing for now but may switch to more of a spoiler like of the jammin truggy. So enjoy the pics.

Well I'd love to chip in! , here are some old pics from my Camaro, which I'm in the process into turning it into a full scale model, with a solid rear axle, and a water cooled 4-stroke if I can hopefully fit it all in the engine bay. Well here are old pics:

So far I have hacked off the doors, and am starting to plate the body in styrene to strengthen it, next will come the necessary parts like the axle/suspension, and I will commence building a chassis by hand with a dremel. The chassis will be hardest for me since I dont have know any decent metal sources in my area where I could have access to 7075 or 6061 aluminum.

Here is the axle I initially wanted to use, but it comes stock with a spool. If I can somehow turn it into a full differential, I will still buy it. I plan to contact RC4WD about that to see if they possibly know anything about that since there is little info on the net with this axle.

Here it is:

Cheers, Tom.

Bah! That looks sooo ugly , and its integy! .

Anyways, I'm looking to get the most realism as possible, the T-rex 60 axle is one of the more realistic axles on the market, and the metal one looks great. Thanks for the link though, who knows I might find another one that looks/functions in the way I want it to. But I really like the Rex, and it would be awesome if I could convert it to a diff, I'll try to get in touch with RC4WD this weekend when I have some more time ,

Tom.
