The guy tells me its an RC10GT but it looks like it has a tub chassis.

He wants $100 for it.

look at the first pic in "project rc10gt... same exact car different color head... new motor maybe... looks clean

motor alone is 100 bucks new grab it while its hot

i dont see nose brace tubes... there cheap and needed or you could twist up that front end real fast

So is this model a good truck or should I get a newer version? Can I buy the newer chassis and transfer all the equipment?

oh ya... you can hook most of it to the associated blue chassis... might need a few parts but 98% should just switch right over. you might need a new screw kit to replace the damage or rusted one but not much

It has no pull start, how much are those to buy?

On thoses engine you will have to get a new back plate ,the complete pull start and the crankshaft made for pull stárt engines ,not really worth it , i would rather get a starter box or a new engine with a pull start .
