Yeah, the Pike Giant is about 2300 dollas. Even buying a full set of digital high speed servos or the new brushless servos you would not get up to 3000 un less you do DS and you want to cover your entire plane in carbon sheeting.

Due to what's available: slope with thermals combined. ( Slermals? ) Several plowed fields just upwind from the toe of a 600 ft. wall provide steady slope lift with lots of thermals.
Its great.
Also slope at Waimea Canyon, Kauai.

Leslie Ward very interesting because my club Varms which stands for victorian asociation of model soaring and we have over 20 slope sights and that's only in melbourne and we have our main flat field which is HUGE and that is the primary flying site and is the only place we can fly power and Varms has been around for 40 years and we do awesome stuff like at our AGM on this friday we are have ing an indoor free flight glider contest an we have a monthly Varms trophy which is a rudder and elevator only 2 metre glider comp and i am only 12 and i have an absoulute blast and we have anyone from the youngons to the oldies i love Varms it's a great place.
