I would really like to get the 7C in mode 1 (instead of the standard mode 2). This means the sticks need to be swapped. i know this is probably just a matter of swapping out the ratchet plate and springs but I have never done anything like this before. Does anyone have experience?

I'm not positive, but I think I remember reading somewhere that you can ship the DX7 back to Horizon and they'll convert it to Mode 1 for you for a very minimal fee. I'm not sure about Futaba, but I assume the same would be true.

Yea i called about that. Futaba charges $25 for the change + i have to pay $10 to ship the radio to them in the first place, and wait a couple weeks for the service to be completed. If its not to difficult, I would like to do it myself.

With the Futaba 7C, there is no need to send it in. The manual should give you the step by step instructions. The 7C has selectable software for modes 1 thru 4. just the throttle ratchet and springs need to be moved. The DX7 needs to have different software load, so no user changeable stick mode.
