was thinking of the sundowner, but they don't have a .61 size. any other recommendations for a fast light wing loading plane that will be enjoyable to fly as well as impressive speed wise.

since you mentioned the Sundowner, why not go look at the thread in the Extreme Speed forum, then make a decision on the Sundowner. Its an impressive setup.

have the os 75ax on my sundowner. it is a better plane than the revolver. the revolvers landing gear is garbage. the toni is to big for the 61. it would be like watching paint dry. suprised c.hardover would rec. that combo. have a 120ax in mine. the s.d. -61 would be a nice combo.

I second the recommendation for the Revolver.... with a 61, speeds should reach over 120 mph . This plane looks great and hauls butt! Check out the thread...http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6116736/mpage_1/key_revolver/tm.htm.

I vote for the revolver. I have a TT.61Pro in mine and it smokes. Only thing is the landing gear is bad as russm stated. I just got the upgraded dubro, but haven't tested it yet.

for the record, i like the revolver too. the landing gear as well as the fuse strength at that point of connection is a real turn off. have had 2 revolvers with a number of engine combos. the t. hobbies 76w/ a pitts muffler was the fastest. others were a lincoln 61, os75ax, and a os91fx w/ a jett muffler. the s. downer is just a better built plane.

He was looking for a fast 61 size "plane." I have a fast 61 size plane-witha 2300 in it I have another 61 size with a OS1.08. Does this sound more like me now???
