I have two ThunderPower 3S2P 11.1v 4000 mah li-po batteries.

They both charge well and have similar power when flying my E-flite Ultra Stick 25E.

However, battery 1 only lasts about 10 minutes. When recharging, my TP charger shows about 2800 mah needed to fully charge the battery up to the 12.5+ voltage level.

Battery 2 lasts about 15 minutes and takes about 3700 mah to recharge.

Everything checks out well on both batteries. That is, voltage around 12.5+ when charged, approx 9.9v when motor starts sputtering (showing near cut-off level), rpms about equal on full throttle, etc.

Any ideas what is wrong with above scenario?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I forgot to mention. Packs are also well balanced, showing only about .002v difference between the charged cells.

IMO, you are draining pac #2 too much. 80% of
4000 is 3200 mAh's. Also what Amps are you drawing ?

Do you always wait for the LVC to kick in ?

Do you use a timer when you fly ?

1 The wattmeter I use shows my set up draws 300 watts at full throttle. That calculates to around 28 amps, using 11.1v.

2 The LVC kicks in on the bad pack at around 9-1/2 to 10 minutes of flight. I have not flown the good pack until the LVC kicks in since I land the plane after 15 minutes of flight.

3 Yes, my Spektrum 6i TX has a timer which I use all the time. Currently, I set the timer at 9 minutes on the bad pack and at 15 minutes on the good pack.

Manual states I should get about 16 to 17 minute flight with the 3S2P pack using the Power 25 motor. My LHS suggests I arrange to return the pack to ThunderPower for a replacement. I might have to do that if I can't figure out what's wrong.
