The stock clutch bell is 17 tooth. The lower you go with clutch bell teeth the more bottom end you get, but you sacrafice top end, the high you go with clutch bell teeth the faster your top end gets, but you sacrafice low end power. SO if you go down one tooth with no change to the spur gear you'll loose alot of upper end, but gain a ton of lower end and if you go up to 18 tooth you'll gain alot of top end but mark a huge lag in the first foot of lower end power, then all of a sudden, BAAMMMM your car rockets forward once it gets rolling.
