Popriv -> DX6i throttle clicks? (6/26/2008 9:19:40 PM)

I purchased a DX6i from a LHS that sells mostly Helis. I'm flying a trainer plane.
The throttle has no clicks to it. Its smooth from off to full throttle. I understand this is how helis fly...

I took the back off and increased the tension on the sticks and I see a plastic piece with grooves on it near the throttle. This looks like it would add the "clicks" I'm looking for.

I cant find ANY info on this subject.

Documentation on this TX is lacking. It took quite a bit of experimenting to get the box to buddy box. The cable I purchased didnt work and we ended up using a regular stereo male to male plug.

Can anyone help with this smooth throttle issue?

there is a ratchet that clicks on to the stick and that rubs against the thing you saw that needed tightening. if this was a heli setup from factory it would have been in the box.

the DX7 comes with a plate with a notch on it for the ratchet that you can swap for the smooth one, the DX6i doesnt. i'm sure ive seen somewhere posted the part you can buy
