Have a rossi 528x that wont idle down. I turn idle secrew down but still high. Temp were 240 and ran great just wont idle right. Im thinkin it mite be an air leak. Any other thoughts ?

It does not take long to fix leaks and only takes a few minutes to repair. Most leaks are around the carb but sometime come from the back plate. You can even get them from a damaged O-ring on one of the tunning needles. It sounds like the LSN is a little lean. You might want to try and reset the LSN back to factory presets and see what happens. I run into this problem if I try to tune out the LSN before the engine is up to normal running temps. The LS leans out a bit once the mill is up to running temps. Once you are able to get it to run for 20 secs at idle before it bogs and dies then you are dialed in. It is too easy to fix a leake so to save myself from fustration I seal my engines as soon as I get them out of the box. Hi heat silicone and plumbers tape on the threads of the LSN and HSN.

I agree. I seal my engine before break-in and then after post break-in tear down. I like to fix the problem before it is a problem.
