My wife was throwing away a old lazy susan that has been laying around for years. I went trash diving and recoverd this gem. Always wanted one but too cheap to buy at HD for 3$. Anyway it's been given a new life as part of a test stand for my heli.
Only part I wanted was the ball bearing race out of it. mounted it between 2 pieces of plywood and put some holes in it so I could index it around when I worked on the heli. I have a strap of alum that I pass through the skids to hold it down. Great for setting the gyro as I can run it up in the basement with where there is no wind and set my rate and HH gyro with out any chance of an accident, or set my tracking. This is somewhat safer then holding it in place by hand. If your holding your heli down by hand and something lets loose how long do you think you will continue to hold on to it?
First pic is indexed in one of 12 positions another in a diff position. Also is shown running up at about 65% power and locked down. How good is a Telebee gyro... last pic is my heli at 65% power in rate mode NOT locked down (notice the bolt lying on the mount) If the Heli moved clockwise about 1/4 turn and tail would hit the wall studs (not much room for error here)
I have a lot of time on my hands......
