I started off the hobby w/ a nitro cen racing ct4s sedan. Bad idea. It was my first! So then I got the traxxas bandit vxl. Small jumps, mild terrain, great. Now I'd really like to get complicated w/ brushless touring sedans. Any sedans or touring cars you guys can recomend? And a recomended set-up would also be appreciated.

I was thinking of a tc-3 or tc-4. Maybe even a cyclone s. An affordable tamiya is also on the "maybe list".

I have a velineon brushless set-up laying around... would that work? I was just going to do some club races w/ 6 cell batteries. The motor can be geared real high to keep up with a 7700. My concept: 3500 kv motor= lots of torque, less top end speed - 7700 kv motor=less torque, better top end speed. A compromise would be higher gearing for the 3500.

Thank you for your input!

(Price range: around 200-250.)

Is the price range including the car and brushless system?

Tamiya TA-05IFS-R hands down. Perfect for your price range. The tamiya handles amazingly i hear.

Hope This Helps,

The TA05MS is expensive, close to 500. A TA05R or TA05IFS-R should be around 150-200. Thats what I've seen them at anyway. I'm sure Tamiyas suggested retail price may be that high but you can usually get them for about half that.
