I am building a Pica FW190 and need to know what colors to use for the light and dark green - anyone know the name or number of these colors?

Wombat, The colors you need are called RLM 82 and RLM 83. You can get an awesome color chart and several different color profiles for D9s here:

This is what I did for my pica fw190d9
There are pics of it on my webpage

nice plane - thanks for the info, that's exactly how I wanted to paint mine! There are three different colors on your plane - 2 darker greens and a light green, what are the numbers for these colors?

Wombat, There are 2 different colors of green, RLM 82 light green and RLM 83 dark green. The other color on the bottom and sides of the fuse is RLM76 light blue.

May want to look elsewhere in RCU for RLM to Fed. Std. color equivalents, as this seems to be a popular subject since February.

The D9 has many different color combinations. The fuselage can be RLM 76 or the late war "blue-green. The bottom of the wing can be RLM 76, blue-green, RLM 75 with some natural metal, all natural metal, or a combination of colors with the flaps and ailerons differing from the other colors. The wing top is generally RLM 82/RLM 83 or RLM 75/RLM 83. The fuselage can be RLM 76 or blue-green with a combination of two or more of these colors: RLM 75, RLM 81, RLM82, RLM83, natural metal, or RLM 02 primer. Of course there is also the identification colors and defense bands to consider as well,...

Find documentation to an aircraft you like and use what is required.

Jerry Crandall has some great decals packages that have color three views. Check those out at Eagle Editions Ltd. My web site has a reference section with books, color chip info, color profiles etc. that may be useful http://home.att.net/~mr.442guy/Wulfpage_01/Page_1x.html

Wulfman needs to say no more, he's got everything you need. Mine was done in the late war scheme. Finished as the plane that Gerhard Barkhorn flew, the 2nd leading Luftwaffe ace of WWII with 301 kills. The pilot in this model was also finished in late war colors. Light blue pants and a white jacket. I don't own this bird anymore but I wish I had her back.
