I have been away from RC aircraft for a long time now and have a question reguarding the crankcase widths of the different .60 glow engines. Is their a standard width used? I've started building the Sig beachcraft Bonanza kit. I have the engine mounts but don't have the engine for it as of yet. I would like to install the engine mounts but not sure as the how far apart to mount them. Your help on this would be greatly appreciated.... Thank You in advance

I don't believe there is one standard. But most engine manufacturers include the distance from flange hole to flange hole on their technical drawings and these are usually available on their websites. So check out a couple of the engines that you are considering.

Here's the info for the OS engines:

An option is one of the adjustable engine mounts. The mount/firewall holes are slotted, so the mount can be adjusted a bit for width using the same holes in the firewall.

With out the engine it will be hard to set everything cowl and spinner related. I would skip that part and do all you can until you get the engine without pigeon holing yourself.
