Ok i have a Jato 2.5 and finally got around to getting the 2.2 dish wheels for it mounted and glued the new tires and i put the rear wheels on everything is fine. I put the fronts on and go to tighten the nut and the axle shafts are too long!!! Why do these not fit when it says right on the Jato parts list that they fit the Jato? Is there a different axle i need to buy or a certain spacer?

Thanks in advance.

well cutting could be an option.. but it depends on how long it is and how long you need it to be... if you have enough threads to be able to cut a bit off that might work... got a dremal tool? if you do go that rout then make sure you have the nut on the axle befor you cut it... then pull the nut off after you cut and it should "re-thread" it, just be carefull while cutting and keep it clean

you have the stock axles right?

make sure you have both bearings in and the spacer, and tighten the nut all the way down.....

it will be fine, i've run mine like that for a year

i think what he is saying is that he doesnt have enough threads on the shaft to tighten down the wheel properly so he has to put washers on the unthreaded shaft to take up the extra space. anyways, i cant really think of anything. one thing u might try is using nitro ruster or stampede front axles. thats is all that i can think of...good luck, and by the way what wheels are these so i can steer clear of them?

I got the same wheels, same problem.

On these dish front wheels there is no need for the metal spacer between the bearings that is stock on the stock front wheels. So what I did was put the spacer on the axle first and then the wheel with bearings. That spacer adds just enough to thread the nut on all the way. Works great for me.
