Well after all those post of being annoying and almost getting kicked off lol, ah good times . Anyway well me and my dad went to the hobby shop with my sis, she bought a puzzle and i just browsed. Looked at all the trucks, my dad looking at them too. Well we left and on the way home, we were talking about truggy's and what kind there are and how durable they are. Well i mentioned that amain has a truggy for 244, and my dad goes REALLY WOW THAT CHEAP. Well i told him there almost out of stock, and he says maybe we should order one for your b-day, talk to your mom though. Well we talked about it and they put 50 twards it and i owe them 250.I bought a THUNDER TIGER ST1 RTR in oarnge and blue, awsome deal right. Well I ordered this with it too:
-wing mount
-extended wing mount
-buggy wing
-gow igntior
-fuel bottle
All for $298 with 25 off, good deal

Anyways you guys know me, whats he going to ask now Well i do have some questions.
1) ned to know what failsafe and reciever battery will work with the st1?
2) can i finish my tank of traxxas fuel and switch to blue thunder?
3) What are the pros and cons of this truck?
4) Any upgrades in the future?

And last i want to thank all you guys for helping me, i really apreciate it, and im sorry for being annoying lol

1.) The Failsafe should work not sure about the battery pack.
2.) You should be able to finish off the traxxas as long as its the same nitro nitro content like both are 20%
3.) I guest you will find out
4.) You can buy upgrades just like any other truggy

A 1600Mah flat or hump pack will fit. The tires are too soft and balloon.

You can change fuel (brand, nitro%, oil %) all day long if you wanted to, you would just have to re tune each time.

I heard wrapping the inside of the tire with tape helps with ballooning, but I'm not sure of the details of it.

Edit: you can change fuels all you want but I would try and stick with one as much as you can. I would go with 20% or less nitro, I'm personally going to start running 5% nitro since I can get a gallon of 5% for $10.00 and you're suppose to be able to get he same power out of it as the higher nitro if you set your engine up correctly.

the stock tires will be fine for right now, just reglue them and periodicaly check the tires for seperation and reglue as needed, get your self some proline mtr or lpr truck tires <crimefighters> best overal tread pattern.

i would run one type of fuel and stick with it<motors dont like brand changes too much>

and for the failsafe issue...your safest bet would be to buy a spectrum 2.0 radio with the built in failsafe. trust me the stock radio will probly blow and glitch alot! am stinks. the spectrum radio will protect it from runaways! and you dont want that ! trust me!

I love those stock radios they work awesome. Never had one fail! 0 interference with them either. Anyways I suggest a ofna mini failsafe only about $15. Receiver pack preferably a stick pack from my experience since you have more room to work with.

Better off going to your hobby shop for those items. Just get a cheap wall charger to charge up the receiver pack.

i suggest running 30% nitro i think it is much better than 20%..some will say u need to add an o-ring.ive used 20% and switch to 30% without adding o-ring on the engine..and i nver had a problem..for batt pack u can get the 1400mah for more run time and steering power..congrats on ur purchase ..
