Hey all. Just wondering if someone can help. I'm relatively new to the RC side of things. I bought a TT-01D Mazda RX-7.
Now I'm converting it to a Mustand and so far have bought 9mm offset wheels which seem to fit it fine.
Now I'm just after some drift tyres for it. I love the ones that came with the TT-01D. They are a Tamiya Type-D tyres.
I can not find them anywhere for sale appart from being already glued to a set of wheels. Does anyone know where I can find them on their own?
I would use the ones I have already but they're glued on to the existing wheels and I don't know how to get them off? Lol... I might be an idiot, I don't know..
Also would anyone know what type of inner foam is used on the existing wheels, if any?

Thanks

Frd, I would suggest you throw away those Type Ds. They are considered very hard to drift. Try looking for these: PVC, ABS are common items that you can get from hardware shops. They are cheap and good for drifting. A tad too slippery though. For drifting with better grip, you can try HPI T-Drift or A-Drift tyres. Tamiya Super Drift-Tech tyres are good too.

Well I dunno. I've used the TYPE-D obviously cos that is what it came with and i find they drift fine. They have a partial resin compound which makes em hard, but not PVC. I'ved tried out PVC and they drift wayy out of control too easy. The HPI drift tyres I've seen feel a bit too rubbery and even though there is no tread. They seem to have a lot of grip. The Tamiya drift tech look pretty much like my one I have but problem is I can;t find any that aren't already attached to wheels.

If anyone is familiar with the TT-01D wheels taht u get as standard. Do you also happen to know anything at least similar to these?

They're definately the ones. But as I was saying. They're already attached to a wheel and they'll be glued on but I've already got the wheels i need. I just need those tyres. They don't seem to be available on their own.
