I ran a few tanks thru the machines today just on the grass in
the park to tune em and knock the dust off em both (Buggy and Truggy).
Everything is running great.

The only problem is I wanna go race one or even both tomorrow but
all my buddies are busy or out of town and some just aren't into
the hobby like me.

What do you guys do if you have no pitman to go to the track with you ?
(Please don't say "Bash" because that word is just plain bad.

Let's hear it and how are your guys' rides runnin' ?

I'd like to have the wife do it and get into it but we have a 5 month old
so that trumps that thought. I'm a pretty friendly and outgoing guy but
I know only a couple guys at my track and would feel wierd asking
someone else (if they weren't there) to pit for me.

Hmm stumped.

Maybe I'll just go practice in the morning and warm up to someone
that isn't in the same class but that seems sort of stalker-ish too...HAHA !

I wonder if one could drive from pit lane ?

No, but I could see how everyone could be busy with their own operation.
I'm down to a gallon and a half of nitro anyway, I better go and practice
and at least buy some fuel. At least I can say I'm doing my part to
support the track, right?

hmmm....craigslist ?
no wait, I might get side tracked and not ever GET to the track

Hahaha, yeah I saw the thread of that guy who wanted to make his own nitro.
Everyone shot him down with the quickness !

I'm putting all the batts on chargers and going tomorrow anyway.

I always ask one of the buggy guys..This way I can return the favor..I always go to the track with no pit person..but then I know more than 3/4 of the guys racing..On the hows it running..Awesome would be the word best describing just how well my ST-RR is running..2 weeks ago (track races every other week) was my first time on the new layout and the first time in a while i had raced my ST-RR. TQ'ed by a lap and won the main by 6 laps..and in the main i was not even pushing it..I had everyone so covered..my novarossi .21 plus 7BT is ballistic, I was pulling the 8ight buggies (with OS speeds in them) down the straights, outta the corners..impressive power.. shankdog626 where do you race at..we do some racing out in your part of the country at times..we have a few really nice tracks in my area..friend of mine just built a new track 20 minutes from me..best dirt i have ever ran on..the track is soooo made for an ST-RR..and the best part of that one..I'm the only guy racing an ST-RR..i can blast through the rutted up sections so much faster than the Losi's..almost not fair..ha

I showed up at our local track and didn't know a soul and it was easy finding someone to help with pitting. If fact I even had a few guys come up and ask me if I needed a pit guy. So I wouldn't sweat it, just go and have fun and I'm sure someone will lend you a hand with pit stops.

I've walked up to pit lane for a main with my stuff and no pit guy. I just asked one of the guys that were already pitting for someone else if they would fuel me up. "No problem, as long as you don't come in when my guy comes in," is usually the response.

Cool OasisTR, I actually saw you race at revelations once for the Novarossi
event. I have raced there yet but have driven the track practicing. For the
most part I'm closest to Thunder Alley where they hosted the recent buggy
nationals.

Don't like the track in Hemet, it's kinda ghetto. There's another track opening
soon in Temecula and it's gonna be pretty sweet from what I hear and see
in the pictures. Albeit, it gonna be in the boondocks though.

My Kyosho is running good too with the Sirio CL7B STI 21. Funny, I was finally
getting to tune my new 8ight buggy just after break in and the difference it
just amazing in power compared to my truggy but the buggy is still fun
because it's so quick.

I'm gonna take off for the track this morning and practice with both and
see if I can manage not to break a bunch of stuff. My buddy just told me
he can probably make it like an hour before the racing starts. The dope
is having a junk (I mean) yard sale until 3pm.

I rarely have a pit guy with me at races. I nearly always end up asking for help. 95% of the time I can find someone in the same boat and we pit for each other. There is always someone that needs pitting and someone that can pit for you. NEVER decide not to go racing just cause you don't have a dedicated pit guy!!!!

For me, not having a dedicated pit guy means I usually just race one class instead of 2 or 3 - I've even run 4 classes once. Though I won't be doing that again! Too much to do and not enough time! Race - marshall - fix, then do it all over again with no time in between.
