Elcon clutch owners ,
do u find that when the car is first started the clutch engages pretty late but as the engine warms up it settles down to where u set it ?

Just like any other part, heat will have a factor in the operation.

To be honest I havn't noticed this. The biting point seems to stay very consistant on mine regardless of engine temps??

Engine temp does not affect the clutch.
It is the heating of the clutch itself that makes the clutch getting a bit more grippy after half a minute or so and after this it stays where it is.

There are coming new shoes out. I saw at the nationals last weekend already new elcon clutches at the race and the cars using them did show quite a step forward in traction.
Engagement for the new shoes are obviously at a much higher point. They used different type of material as well, white.
They fit the standard clutch, saw people changing the shoes and they were happy when I asked them after the performance.
Seems another step forward again.
