ORIGINAL: gunfighterII Dar, Please explain how O.S. can tell what kind of fuel you are using to deny warranty work? If you can't answer the question with a little respect, don't bother. Your arrogance is getting the best of you. GF, Please read my post #2 in this thread... As you can see, the reply was quite respectful, except where I added what I know of availability of nitro in Europe... I have been around long enough to know that saying there is no 0-low% nitro fuel available in any European country, is like saying there is no Porsche/Lamborghini/Ferrari dealer for Beverly Hills 90211... If the guy asks if he should use '1' or '2', I have the option to say that neither is good and that he should obtain '3'. If the guy presses on and says 'No; either '1', or '2'...' You can't say '3'...' THIS is arrogance! I can then then say what I think and I just did... I am being assertive; not arrogant. You should be able to tell the difference. There are obviously guidelines, to wear marks and other tell-tale signs, to usage of fuel with insufficient/inadequate oil and/or excessive nitro, which OS service personnel follow... And experience (of others who owned more OS engines than I did) tells me THEY DO void the warranty outright, if a sign of either 'violation' is detected. Is it arrogance on my part, to try keeping this person out of avoidable trouble!? Probably, as SummerWind suggested, since the high nitro will force quite a rich mixture, no warranty issue will arise... But this guy is still much better off getting the right fuel for this engine; 18-20% castor-synthetic lube mix and 5-10% nitro (15% is borderline).
