You would have to put nostalgia in there. I am probably going to keep the stuff.

I was thinking the other day about when this all started for me. It was the red plastic Cox corsair on my 5th birthday. The plane never made it in the air because I destroyed it before it had a chance. The engine however was put on a Goldberg Lil Wizard when I was 7 or 8 yrs old and we flew the crud outta that thing. I was so hooked I had no idea how much so.

Got my first RC in 1976............I could go on.

I think Feebay can wait. You guys got me thinkin with those screamin memories. (I have severe ringing in my ears now, but it was worth it). I think I'll keep the engines and still convert the dominator to electric.

The other 1/2a I have is an old GLH. It's battered but still flies good. Probably keep that goin with the TD for old times sake.

For the dominator your talking about you will need to make a quick way to get the batterys in and out of the fus. with four bolts it will take a bit to get them out and back in and doing this everytime will wear out our "high quality" hardware. this might lead to a wing coming off.

what I would do for that kit is to turn the fus over and make it a low wing and only use one bolt in the rear being 1/4-20 and replace them one a season or when loose. the reason for having the wing on the bottom is for thos high G turn most of the load is spread evenly across the fus, where as the is on top the 4 bolts are holding the load.

If looking for an out runner close to the one suggested about also look at the "little screamer motors" its also a 2200 kv and will spin an apc 6x5.5. it draws about 185-200 watts on his set up. this will take the dominator to around 110-115mph range. I forgot little screamers is the brand name and the motor you want is called the park jet version. they also have some lower power ones that will turn larger props for more thrust.

I run my park jet on 4cells and put about 300 watts on mine and still good as new.

Again Raptor brought up a good point.
All Brushless motors can be run on higher than advertized voltage (#cells)
if you use a small enough prop to overload the motor at the higher attempted RPM.

The limits to these motors is the Amps, then later the watts due to heat buildup.
A motor that says 3cell (11volt) 15amp with a 10x5prop will be happy with 4cell(14v) smaller 6x4prop at maybe 11amp at a much higher rpm. The amp flow is still below wiregage limits, and the total watts is actually a little bit lower meaning it would run cooler (or WOT longer)
<These numbers are for theory demonstration, each motor style is different & you should consult with the actual specs before trying new Batt/Prop combinations>

But the Speed Control has to be rated to take 4cell, most are 3cell. GWS makes a cheap 4cell 14amp Brushless controller.
