I am looking for good quality after market shocks for a Rustler VXL...a bit stiffer than stock for bashing over rough terrain. Any suggestions?

or the Losi threaded ones. Simpler than the AE ones and IMO a little smoother.

Why would you need resoviors on rc cars? I mean I know why on dirt bikes and 1:1 racing trucks, but there is no need for 1/10 cars!

some people say the oil stays cooler and the same viscoity persanly i think it is bs my ae shocks are always smooth and im shure the losi kit shocks are really smooth to you never see tebo or drake with them and there really hard on there shocks so i dont think there is a need for it

in all honesty i would just go with the traxxas big bores. they are a bit pricey campared to the AE shocks but worth it.

there OK. They are aluninum and threaded which is nice but it doesn't use hard alumiunum shock bodies so the threades wear out faster.

rustleracer23,

In your definition good shocks, do you mean good for racing or bashing? I mean for $60 you can get a pair of AE or losi threaded chocks that perform better I would think because those are racing shocks.

I'm saying for $60 of those Integy shocks can get you a set of Losi or AE threaded racing ones for $10 cheaper. And I would think that the Losi and AE shocks are smoother than the Integy.
