Finally!! I saved up some money to get these guys..

I wanna Welcome them to the List of Things to Do!!

Really great stuff..I'm sooo excited..Now if I can just take some speed building lessons from 8178 I should be good to go...

edit:
Added some pics of completed aircraft since it's hard to tell what they look like in kit form...

Is that a 'have it - gotta build it' list or a 'want it -gotta have it' list. I have both

I think Chuck's HIGBIL is longer than his WIGHIL.

I see a SkyMaster 60 on that list. Do you have a SM 60??
I take it the LA1 is sitting on the foam robart stand. Is it bigger than the Summit? From the pic it looks like it is.
So whats Priority on thet list? The Atlanta maybe??

as much work as he has offered to do on my SM 60, he may end up a joint owner if i can ever get the plane to his shop for rehab. or after the Atlanta project is done maybe he will want to do a mold of the SM.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with "the list's"..Of course they are always growing, especially the wish list..

I have everything on that list except the SkyMaster 60 and LA-2 kits...

Thanks to You I have the SkyMaster 60 drawings which I plan to use to build a foam Master Model and do a glass version of the SkyMaster (like the Atlanta project)...I think that will be allot safer than using dhal22's airplane for the mold...I'd hate to trash someone else's aircraft during the process...It's just too risky for the little bit of time you save...I got really lucky with my Atlanta and took allot of extra measures to ensure I wouldn't damage it...Mostly I was Lucky...

Although I have an Aurora kit I'm not planning to build it..Instead I'll do a foam Master Model and build a glass version of that one too...I plan to start the Aurora glass project as soon as I get done with my current project..

Now it's just a matter of getting something done!! I'm not going to make it to Huntsville again this year because I don't have a plane to fly...

I hope to grab a couple of planes which are in the ARC stages and get them flyin' before I get started on the Aurora Master Model...

Aurora_60:
The LA-1 is just about 1" longer than the Summit III...The Summits wingspan is about 2" shorter also...They actually seem very comparable in size...The extended dorsal on the LA-1 appears to add a good bit of fuse side area...The photo below is kinda goofy....Makes it appear the Summit is longer but it really isn't..Oh well..

What is really interesting is how both of them Dwarf the Atlanta...You sure can tell they were makin' planes bigger in the late 80's early 90's...I suppose they were working their way towards the 2m ships which followed...

Is it just me..Or do all the planes I like look the same??

Chuck

You better watch out. I heard a urban legend that modelers start looking like the planes they build!... Not really a bad thing IMHO.

So what will be first on the list to get up in the air?

The Calypso, Conquest, Desire and Atlanta are basically "ARC"...

I'm thinkin' the Calypso or Conquest will be first....I wanna get my feet wet flyin' again before I fly the Atlanta...

I'm itchin' to get the Atlanta going though...

Chuck
