I heard the Axial crawler aren't that good. I am writing this with the Losi Rock Crawler ad in my face so just go on the Losi site and see how it crawls. It seems like a 1/10 crawler on the video.

Not to be rude, but you obviously know nothing about crawlers. the Axial AX-10 crawlers are very good, top notch trucks, especially the kit version. They are meant for real competition, have great axle design, and can easily equal or outperform a TLT axled or Wheely King axled truck. What really ruins their image is all of the newbies in crawling who have totally stock trucks and know nothing about them and as soon as something breaks they say its crap. I am very into the crawling scene, I am a member of the Southern Arizona Radio Controlled Crawler Association, and most of the members of the club are running AX-10 axled trucks, and the ones running the AX-10's and AX-10 axled trucks are the ones who usually end up taking first place at the end of an event.

Well the kit version doesnt come with a servo, you add you own, but in rock crawling stripped servo is a very common problem, because most people dont run a servo saver for better wheel turning ability, which makes the servo more likely to strip.

Or they buy 2kg cheap Servo's instead of more beefier 10kg ones...

The Ax10 is one of the Best Value for money crawlers going.. If you get the rock racer, then just buy a 55T Lathe motor and go for it..

This is a good one if you have FM radio or better(it's digital). It's a standard size servo, but it has metal gears, ball bearings, and enough torque to turn my TXT-1 tires at a standstill with no problem.

the only thing that makes the RTR a "racer" is that it comes with a bigger pinion for higher speeds in addition to the one to be used for crawling

you can make the others a "racer" too by changing the pinion

I like the Scorpion the best. I would love to have one and put some wheel spacers on it to give it a wider stance. I saw one at Hobbypeople once and it was a thing of beauty with the spacers on it.
