Do you have the Castle Link?
Is your battery fully charged?
Do you have the ESC and servo plugged into the correct spots on the RX?
What vehicle are you using it in?
What type of battery are you using?

Sounds like you need to buy the Castle Link and update the firmware on the Sidewinder or maybe call Castle Creations www.castlecreations.com

Throttle trim adjustment has to be maxed out forward, also try servo reversing the throttle side. I had the same issues and this fixed it. When you get it going you won't be dissappointed. It's a real nice system for the money. Use good batteries though. Huge power!
