Hey guys!

I recently bought a new TT39H and put it in my Raptor 30v2. I broke it in on 15% CP for 2-3 tanks with no issues.(Then the problems came)

-Firstly, i noticed that the engine was hot after only 3-4 minutes of hovering(could not touch backplate for more than 1-2 seconds...ouch).
-Secondly, when going from (idle-up 1) back down to (normal flight), the heli goes wack and starts to shack/engine burps and loose control. However, it dis-appears after 5-6 seconds.
-Thirdly(the scariest part), after landing and lowering throttle to idle, the same thing hapens. The engine begins to burp and gargle, along with the heli violently shaking.

Before posting this i have done the following:
-new glow-plug(failed)
-tryed to richen and lean(failed)
-cleaned tank(failed)
-replaced all fuel lines(failed)
-tightened engine bolts(couple a bit loose)
-checked for loose screws(none)

After doing all this, there was no success.

I called Arden at A & J Hobbies but he was not sure either.

I'm open to all suggestions????????

ps. Note that even when both needles are set 4 turns open the engine still seems to be running very warm.

The TT39's are abit sensitive when setting up the slow and high speed needles. If you dont get the balance right, they are awful. My only suggestion is persevere with the settings, make sure the carb is operating ok and its not sucking air thru the seal. Once set up correctly, they are a good, although a little under powered for aggressive flying, reliable engine.

Hi FH400,

Let me know how she goes after it is run in. I want to know how much it bogs between full pos pitch and full neg pitch on stationary flips etc

Thanks

Why would you go from full positive to full negative in a flip?

lol when I say flip, its more of a flop. I get v nervous about throwing the damn thing about. As soon as its the wrong way up I find i am stick happy pulling back and putting loadsa neg pitch on, then rollin her over again and makin sure she stays there by puttin loadsa pos pitch on. Its been only 3 flights in idle up 1 so a little slack is reqd please. Once I get some confidence I am sure it wont be so bad.
