Lady's and Gents,
Just need a minute of your time to publicly Thank Mr PTULMER for his unselfish sharing of his plans for the DNU.
I have been a lurker here for over 2 yrs, even though I don't fly 1/2a stuff. You guys seem like a great bunch of guys! Did some 1/2a CL stuff back 35yrs ago.
And not to start a war or insult anyone but my DNU is electric.

AUW is 11 oz with 3s, (10.5oz on 2s)
24gm 1700kv motor spinning a 7x5 APC
1 HS55 (ailerons)
2 5gm servos for elevator and rudder
15amp esc
GWS pico rx
I did change a few thing on this build, 1/16" ribs, 1/8"x1/4" TE, 1" ailerons, 3/32" tail feathers, LG, etc
.
This thing is a blast to fly, very stable, and goes where you point it!
Maybe not as fast as yours (OK not even close speed wise) but a good 50 with unlimited vert.

Anyway, Thanks PTULMER for your time and effort!
And with the help of the internet, everyone that shares their plans and information.

P.S. A couple of pictures, one of the covered airframe, and one of the completed plane sitting next to my scratched LAStick.

We don't think of them as electric - rather as alternative fueled rotary motors.

I doubt yours is very slow - a 1700 KV on 3s with a 7x5 is going to be pretty quick when running flat out; probably quite a bit faster than a Sure Start.

Both your planes look real sharp! Thanks for posting the pics.

Nice looking planes.
Yes, the DNU is a blast to fly. Mine goes nuts with a Norvel .061 on it. PTUlmer hit the nail right on the head with this design.

Thanks guys for the nice comments!
Funny thing is both planes have the same electronics. The little one is a bit too fast on 3s.
Makes you forget to breathe
