Hey guys, I need some help choosing some track ready race cars. Kit or RTR doesn't matter, neither does belt or shaft.
The LHS here stocks a lot of Tamiya parts, but I"m open to all suggestions. I'm not sure what other car they support, but your guys' help would be greatly appreciated!

Hot Bodies Cyclone S RTR. The cyclone is probably the best handling RTR onroad out right now.

Yup the cyclone S RTR is a sweet deal for such a good onroad car.

I would go with either a HB Cyclone S RTR or a TA-05 IFS R.

Or you can be like me and get a HB Cyclone Andy Moore World Championship Edition kit. Either than or get a Tamiya TRF-416.

If your LHS stocks Tamiya parts then by all means go with them. Find out what they are racing at your track and pick one that would be competetive. I have a regular TA05 and I'm not too far behing the xrays, TC5s and the Cyclone (moorespeed) If I had the cash I would have went with an all out racer like the 415 or 416. Properly set up the 05 handles its own very well. But if your racing with high end cars with decent drivers you may have a tough time keeping up with the heavier Tub frame version of this car.

What mkoresh said about keeping up with the high end cars, I don't race often at tracks but I do race at my LHS. I do know that my Cyclone is very fast. The Cycone And Moore is so light with my Li-Po and brushless system I had to add quite a bit of Lead to bring it up to race legal weight. I noticed a massive difference moving from a TC4FT to the cyclone.

I would buy the best I could afford if I were you,

Ok, what about between these cars? All are supported at the LHS.
Losi JRXS-R. Tamiya Ta-05 (IFS optional) R. HB Cyclone. Tamiya TA-05MS (what's the difference between R spec anyways?). Tamiya TRF416. XXX-S

The Tamiya TA05MS has the same drive train(with upgraded parts) as the TA05 except its a carbon fibre chassis instead of the tub frame. Our local track doesn't bother with weigh-ins so the carbon fibre cars I race have quite a bit of weight advantage and it shows. Its a pretty lax race program as far as rules. As long as your running 13.5 or stock type motor anything else goes. Find out all the specific rules of your track, find out what others are running and if its allowed I'd go TRF416 if you have the cash.
