Dear All

Now toying with the idea of fittting an inverted four stroke into my GP Venus .40.

Any recommendations as to which motor would really run nicely upside down. My current J'EN .57 will be moved to another project.

All the best

Cymaz

Just about any fourstroke out there will run great inverted once tuned correctly and the tank is located at the right place. Most of my engines are inverted with absolutely no problems, no pumps/regulators are ever used either.

Make sure it is well broken in. In fact use an engine you have been using. My experiance is that new engines take about 3 gallons of fuel before they run well inverted.

A candidate you may wish to consider that does not care about inverted operation and tank placement, is the right weight, has lots of horsepower and is probably the best all round powerplant for the Venus .40 is the YS .63S.

That is a truly great engine, but is it not risky to purcase a engine these days that will need 30% to deliver the goods, when nitro is skyrocketing in price?

It will also run fine on 15%, just not as powerful as on 30%

Great feedback & thanks. I'll do some research on the YS .63.
