Actually I owe Cal-torque an apology. It's an unfortunate twist of fate that Canada ended up bordering what became the USA, and therefore have mostly American cars. And also, don't get me wrong, some of the worlds great classics came from the US, hell, the car was invented there. Somewhere along the way they lost the ball on motorsport and driving pleasure though, while a few select US marques continued to produce cars that would become classics (AC, Chevrolet (Corvettes), Dodge (with the Viper) Ford (with the Mustangs, which are a bit 'tanky' too, but beautiful and fast) and recently Saleen). Truth is, in the modern age, Japan has left us all standing looking at our history and saying what great cars we USED to make, while they just got on with it and did it better than all of us. With a bit of luck, I'll be taking delivery of a Honda S2000 in late November, after my previous 5 cars were all VWs.
