Well, thanks for the thought of the pictures of Johnny's Hawk. Is he coming back, or did everything go with him?

Dan

Hi Dan,

I spoke with Johnny about 10 minutes ago and the poor thing is back home working and taking care of business as usual. It sounds like someone will be flying back to pick up his big bus and drive it back south for him.

I will arrive tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the info Mitch, Bob and the photo offer Jim...Sorry to hear that about Johnny. I've been waiting since before Top Gun for some pictures of the ordnance I made for him for the Hawk. I see it's mounted, but Lewis only has the group photo. OH, well, I guess I'll wait a bit longer. Hope everything is ok for Johnny. Not been his best year, I'm sure. I'd like to make it to KJ next year with a couple new airframes I'm currently working on. It sure looks like KJ 2008 will be a great event. Enjoy.

Thanks again,

Dan

Today was awesome. The flying started at about 8:00 AM or so and went on all day until it started to rain at about 7:00 PM. We did take a short break for rain early in the afternoon but other than that...it was very good. I got in 8 flights myself and there were many others who did the same...if not more. My father in law decided to drop in and interrupt the flying at about 10:00 but lucky for me...no one was in the air when he arrived.

This event is really turning out to be one of the greater meets...if not the best one I have been to. Hurry up you all and sneak in for a day or two...you won't be sorry.

"Jets over Kentucky" 2008 is in full swing. Here are a few teaser photos from yesterday.

First up is the stunning Skygate Hawk of Don Winn. This bird is a sight too behold on the ground and in the air.

Next up is the 1/6 Skymaster F-16 of Sylvester & Buddy Hale. Power comes through in the form of a mighty Jet Central Rhino.

A little cockpit detail.

Scoripon of Gary Jefferson. I was impressed with the flight qualities of the Scorpion and it has a very unique sound.
